Tag 6 - Nach Guilin / Day 6 - To Guilin

Heute sollte meine Zeit in Peking enden. Die naechste Station ist Guilin.
Am Morgen lief ich ein wenig durch die Strassen und kaufte ein paar Leckereien beim Baecker.
Dann mit dem Taxi zur Metrostation, von der der Airport Express zum Flughafen faehrt.
Kein grossen Problem und lange vor der Zeit am Flughafen. Doch dann: Der Flug nach Xi'An verspaetete sich. Aus irgendeinem Grund hatte ich keinen Direktflug nach Guilin, sondern einen ueber Xi'An gewaehlt. Das raechte sich jetzt. Und ich sollte in Xi'An noch mein Gepaeck holen und neu einchecken. Einer der Air China-Mitarbeiter wollte mir einreden, es waere das gleiche Flugzeug, das dann weiter nach Guilin fliegt, auch nachdem ich ihm gesagt hatte, dass das ein ganz anderer Flugzeugtyp ist und nicht sein kann.
Nach ein paar weiteren Versuchen, hat sich dann ein anderer Mitarbeiter mehr gekuemmert und der Service-Schalter konnte mich dann auf einen anderen Weiterflug umbuchen. Ich kam aber ueber 3h spaeter an, und auch den anderen Flug zu erreichen wurde sehr knapp.
Jemand erwartete mich schon sehnsuechtig am Flughafen. Mit dem Taxi fuhren wir zu meinem Hotel. Dort sagten wir erst einmal gute Nacht.

Today my time in Beijing should end. The next station is Guilin.
In the morning I strolled a bit through the streets and bought a few delicacies from the bakery.
Then with the taxi to the metro station from which the airport express train goes to the airport.
No big problem and in good time at the airport. However, then: The flight to Xi'An was late. For some reason I had chosen no direct flight to Guilin, but one via Xi'An. Now this took revenge. And I should still collect my luggage in Xi'An and check in anew. One of the Air China employees wanted to make me believe, it would be the same airplane which then further flies to Guilin, even after I had told him that this is quite another airplane type and cannot be so.
Then after a few other attempts, another employee cared more about me and then the service counter could rebook me to another connecting flight. However, I arrived more than 3h later, and also very scarcely reached even that other flight.
Somebody waited for me quite longingly at the airport. With a taxi we went to my hotel. There we said good night for the time being.
