Tag 4 - Peking / Day 4 - Beijing

Wieder bin ich spaeter aufgestanden als geplant - 10:30. Morgen muss das besser werden!
Dann fuhr ich mit dem Bus zum Zoo. Zoos ziehen mich immer an und manche sind was besonderes. Der in Beijing ist so einer. Ich habe Pandas gesehen!!! :-))) Sowohl die grossen schwarz-weissen als auch die kleinen roten. Aber ich bin natuerlich wegen der grossen gekommen. Sie lagen zwar nur faul herum, aber sie waren echt! Dann gab es da noch viele Tiere, die man auch bei uns sehen kann, und ich bin nicht ueberall gewesen. Der Eintritt in den Zoo war sehr guenstig - 20 Yuan, also 2 Euro. Dann gab es im Zoo aber noch das Aquarium fuer das nochmal extra Eintritt gezahlt werden musste. Ich hab zwar nicht verstanden, warum ich am Eingang das Kombiticket nicht kaufen konnte, beim Aquarium gab es dann aber fuer 110 Yuan Einlass. Gezeigt wurden riesige Fische in riesigen Aquarien, kleine Fische in kleinen und grossen Aquarien, Schildkroeten, Haie, Fuetterung der Schildkroeten und Fische. Na und dann war da noch eine Seeloewen- und Delfinshow. Die war echt sehenswert.
Es war uebrigens mal schoenes Wetter, d.h. blauer Himmel und die Sonne schien. Da musste ich mir dann so manches Eis goennen.
Nach dem Zoo ging es weiter mit dem Bus zum Sommerpalast. Da gibt es einen Palast mit Tempeln und alten Haeusern zu sehen. Sehr schoen anzuschaun. Dort lief ich rum bis es dunkel wurde und fuhr dann mit der Metro und dem Bus zurueck zum Hostel.
Das Abendessen nahm ich in einem recht einfachen Restaurant ein. Das hatte immerhin gut sichtbar auch ein Englische Beschriftung auf dem Schild. Das Essen war ok, Reis mit kleinen Huehnchenstuecken, etwas Chili und einer Sosse. Es war zumindest sehr preiswert und Hygienelevel 3 (von 4) sagt zumindest, dass sie kontrolliert werden. ;-)

Again I have got up later than planned - 10.30. Tomorrow that must become better!
Then I went by bus to the zoo. Zoos always attract me and some of them are way special. The one in Beijing is such one. I have seen pandas!!! :-))) The big black-and-white as well as the small red ones. But I have come of course because of the big ones. Though they only lied there lazily, but they were real! Then there were still many animals whom one can also see at home, so I have not been everywhere. The entry into the zoo was very cheap - 20 Yuan, so 2 Euros. Then there was in the zoo, however, still the aquarium for which a separate ticket had to be bought. Though I have not understood, why I could not buy the combination ticket at the entrance, then, however, at the aquarium I could get enter for 110 Yuan. Gigantic fish were shown in gigantic aquariums, small fish in small and big aquariums, tortoises, sharks, feeding of the tortoises and fish. But then was there one more attraction - a sea lion and dolphin show. It was really worth seeing.
It was, by the way, nice weather, i.e. blue sky and the sun shone. So there I had to allow myself quite a lot of ice cream.
After the zoo I went further by bus to the summer palace. There is a palace with temples and old houses to be seen. Very nicely to view. There I walked around till it was getting dark and then went by metro and bus back to the hostel.
I had dinner in a rather simple restaurant. This had, at least, well obviously also an English inscription on the sign. Food was OK, rice with small chicken pieces, some chili and a sauce. It was at least very inexpensive and hygiene level 3 (from 4) says at least that they are inspected. ;-)
